Insulated vs. Non-Insulated Paint Booths
Ideal in cold climate areas and with cure cycles, insulated spray booths prevent some of the transfer loss of heat, providing energy savings and reducing noise. The design of an insulated, or dual-skin, panel provides more structural integrity for the paint booth and allows for a cleaner look on the exterior of the paint booth.
Insulating all of the intake and exhaust ductwork is also a good idea. Insulating the fresh air intake helps reduce condensation during winter months. Insulating the ductwork and plenum maximizes energy conservation and offers the best return on investment.
